STAFF :

Commanding officer: Master on board after God!

Executive officier: «X.O», the mother of the crew, always looking all's going well on board.

ingeneer. the "chief", third important person on board.

The third officier: In charge of operations, his responsability is to organize the "cruise". Usually he is in charge of weapons and navigation.

The forth officer: watch officer.

The fifth officer: on training, new on board submarines.

the second ingeneeer: in instruction . Is chief of central room after two or three months training

Petty officers :

Master of the crew: watch officer, in charge of the crew

Warrant machinist: deputy of the ingenner, chief of the central room.

Warrant torpedoo: Master of the torpedoo room also chief of the central room.

Warrant diesel room.

Warrant electrotechnics: battery, electric motors.

Warrant sonar. in charge of all acoustic equipements.

Warrant detection: In charge of radar and Radar detectors, capital during snorting periods..

Warrant auxiliairies

Warrant radio: Always waiting at periscope depth because messages are not transmitted.…..

The "president" of tte petty officers is chosen by the Commanding officer.

on watch.

Three teams are on watch day and night at the hours as follows:

00 to 04 a long watch, but the pleasure go ga back to bed after. Often ver quiet.

04 to 08 often snort period during this watch.

08 to 12 the rest of the crew is cleaning the ship.

12 to 15

15 to 18 No film, but they are always the same, training period

18 to 20 shorter watch

20 to 24 Snort during this watch

watch functions

Watch officier: chief of the team: officers and navigator

chief of "central room"

Chief of engine room

Chief of operation room

electric compartment room

other watch:

TMA, sonar, pilots, auxiliairies,engine, diesels.

No watch: intendance (cooker..)

qualifications : Every body has need a qualification to have a watch function at sea or ashore. Levels were from 1 to 4.
